Responsible for leading the EVS team in achieving operational and financial goals. Responsible for monitoring the performance, scheduling and training of the staff; maintaining the departments' guest service in accordance with MGM Resorts standards, ensuring high customer satisfaction and an exceptional guest experience. Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Oversee leadership in the development and monitoring of EVS and Stewarding departments to ensure that the performance meets and exceeds expectations. Manages and monitors fiscal budget and guest service standards and strategizes to produce both short term and long-term profitability for the company; ensures compliance with health regulations for sanitation and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding food and alcoholic beverage service (real time tracking and monthly reviews). | Drive the execution of Continuous Improvement and other Food & Beverage initiatives that enhance stewarding operations and results. Identify best practices and benchmarks of quality within key business segments in and outside the company. Collaborate with company subject matter experts to develop robust standards and guidelines for stewarding operations, labor standards, and Corporate Social Responsibility. | Collaborate with ER/LR and other COEs to identify optimum Stewarding operating model for the enterprise (roles, responsibilities, staffing, etc.); work with Talent COEs and Culinary Training Academy to develop and sustain programs that support identified operating model (recruitment, hiring, employee training, leadership training, etc.). Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel and coach staff for the efficient operation of the department. Drive employee engagement through coaching, training, and development. | Oversee the implementation of policies, operating procedures, training programs, directives, work schedules, labor standards, rules and regulations (OSHA), and general operational functions as part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement; Maintain a work environment that promotes client service, teamwork, performance feedback, individual recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction ensuring quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment. | Provides support to the Hotel CoE with research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, standards, technology and processes for EVS to ensure competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the complex hospitality and gaming environment. | Provide leadership and direction to maintain and improve the guest experience within EVS operations, consistent with company service standards. | Responsible for leading significant improvement initiatives and processes to enhance performance for employees and leaders in the department.
