Works with the Director of Catering to develop departmental budgets and helps guide the team in the creation and execution of a strategic business plan |
Establish staffing guides for all departments and works with department heads to keep inside those guidelines |
Work with department leaders to create, update and implement training materials and sessions for all departments to ensure understanding of luxury standards and expectations for each role |
Ensuring effective communication amongst the teams within all departments for the success of all convention events |
Describes, assigns and delegates duties and authority clearly and responsibly for the operation to the management team in each department, and follows up on expectations |
Provides leadership and guidance to management to ensure smooth running of the operation in accordance with luxury service standards that are consistent with the property and brand attributes |
Conducts communication meetings with all department leaders and staff to ensure the proper knowledge of key company and departmental information, and solicits feedback to ensure understanding and discuss issues |
Experience in development of operating and capital budgets, staff planning, purchase and control of operating equipment and a sensitivity to design and refurbishment of banquet and kitchen facilities |
Work with the Banquet team to ensure the proper tendering of all banquet checks and the delivery and sign off on the checks with the clients for each group |
Researches and recommends new products, processes and services for evaluation, development and implementation to ensure the department’s competitive advantage in the marketplace |
Influences and collaborates with external and internal stakeholders and business partners on decision-making |
