The purpose of the Lead Engineer is to supervise technicians, laborers and engineers, and ensure all work scheduled is assigned and completed. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resort international policies, practices, and procedures.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Receive materials that have been ordered from the warehouse and dock

Organize and prioritize projects as they are requested

Prepare take-offs and estimates for projects

Complete all jobs as assigned by Dispatch and Management

Oversee the completion of all work performed by facilities technicians, laborers and engineers

Advise manager of all work orders and/or projects currently being worked on, the scheduling of projects, and materials needed for such projects

Maintain a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention

Respond to hotel emergency calls, assist in expediting repairs to ensure guest and employee safety and comfort

Establish and maintain effective working relationship with all departments within Off-site properties

Ensure all equipment and work areas are kept clean, neat and orderly at all times

Maintain knowledge of materials used by various technical trades in the department
